《あらすじ》
カナミが子供の頃、母親は裁縫が得意でよく服を作ってくれました。
ある日、花柄の生地でお揃いのワンピースを作ってくれると言いました。
「このワンピースを着たら、カナミきっと可愛くなるわ」
しかし母親は自分のワンピースを作った後、
ある雨の日にそれを着て誰かと一緒にでかけたきり、姿を消してしまいました。
カナミは何日も何日も母親の帰りを待ちましたが、とうとう帰ってくることなく、
カナミのワンピースも完成しませんでした。
成長して看護師になったカナミは、目を患った光平と出会いました。
手術が成功し、入院生活でいろいろ話をするうち、二人は次第に惹かれあっていきました。
「カナミさんはとても声が可愛いね。きっと可愛いんだろうな。早く包帯が取れてカナミさんの顔が見たい」
そんな光平の言葉が、カナミは嬉しくてたまりませんでした。
やがて目の包帯の取れる日…。
カナミの顔を見た光平の表情が一瞬曇りました。
が、すぐに明るい笑顔を見せると、カナミに感謝を述べました。
そして二人は一週間後にショッピングビルの前で待ち合わせをして、
食事をする約束を交わしました。
約束の日はあいにくの雨。
待ち合わせの時間になりましたが、光平は姿を現しませんでした。
その次の日もまた次の日も、雨の中カナミは傘を差してその場で待ち続けましたが
結局光平はやってきませんでした。
待っても、待っても、待っても…..
母親も、光平も、私のもとには来てくれない。
雨の中ずっと待ち続けたカナミに芽吹いた、世にも恐ろしい狂気とは…
雨の中ずっと待ち続けたカナミに、ある考えが芽吹きました。
「光平さんが頭の中に描いた私の姿に戻せばいいんだ」
そして、待ち針を手にして、光平の部屋を訪れると……。
《Story Plot》
When Kanami was a child, her mother used to sew her clothes. One day she said she will sew her a flowered pattern dress, matching with her mother.
‘If you wear this, you will surely become cute’ she said.
But once her mother completed her own dress, she wore the dress out on a rainy day, met up with someone and never came back.
Kanami waited for her return for many many days but she never returned. Kanami’s dress was left unfinished with pins still in the fabric.
Kanami grew older. She became a nurse and met Kouhei who was a blind patient.
His surgery succeeded. They became close after his hospitalisation and soon fell in love.
‘Kanami, you have such a cute voice. You must be very cute too. I can’t wait to take off my bandage after recovery to see your face’
His words meant so much to Kanami.
The day had come…
Kouhei took off his bandage and saw Kanami’s face for the first time.
She noticed his face became a bit cloudy but he soon smiled and thanked her.
They promised each other that they will meet up at a shopping mall a week after for dinner.
The promised day unfortunately poured with rain. The clock turned to their meet up time but Kouhei never showed up. Kanami opened her umbrella day after day at the same spot waiting for Kouhei but he was never to be seen again.
Kanami has waited and waited and waited…
But her mother and Kouhei left her and never came back…
One thought had come to her mind after waiting in the rain for so long.
‘What if I can become the figure Kouhei had in his mind…’
She grabbed the pins from her unfinished dress and headed towards Kouhei’s room-
