毎年6月の第一日曜日は久慈川の福島県側、久慈川第一漁協の鮎釣り解禁日です。
今年の初釣りを楽しみに遠方から来られている釣り師さんの姿も・・・

昼休憩を挟み同じポイントで勝負を決め込んだことが功を奏し、良型が連続で掛かりだす。

The first Sunday of June marks the opening day of ayu fishing on the Fukushima side of the Kuji River, managed by the Kuji River First Fisheries Cooperative.

Every year, anglers travel from far away to enjoy their first ayu fishing trip of the season.

However, despite the high expectations, there were few signs of bent rods or fish being landed, and the day unfolded as a tough one—just as many had predicted.

After striking out at the first spot, I decided to move. But every backup location was already crowded with anglers.

With options running out, I made up my mind to head much farther downstream, walking along the river in search of a promising spot.

When I finally cast my line over a section where the riverbed looked relatively dark, I hooked my first ayu of the season in Tohoku.

After a lunch break, sticking with the same spot turned out to be the right decision, as a series of good-sized ayu began to hit one after another.
